I think CCTV is a great idea, but I am not in the market at the moment. Please check your bank statements in two or three days time, to confirm receipt of my electronic funds transfer of R75.00 this morning.

It should. Have set it so that anyone (Guests) without logging in can make comments. The poll does not allow you to select unless you are registered and logged in, but otherwise making a comment is for anyone.

I do have contacts for purchasing the hardware. All that is required is for an installer to put it in. The prices are very good. You can get a Black and White camera for about R500 and a monitor for about R300. Thats not bad I think. Depends on what you want.

Hi Blairgowrie,
As vice-chairman of the RAC I am pleased to see you guys getting a similar thing together in your area. My feeling is that the more info we can share the better for all as we are all in the same boat when it comes to crime or community issues. Also a lot of criminals move from one area to another over time so you will find that information gathered from surrounding areas is most valueable. Regarding your ideas on cctv maybe get in touch with Mike Smuts as we are now on our new hub which makes it possible to link web-cams through the hub. I feel the possibillity to have a cam installed forinstance only when one is on holiday etc. should be of interest to your community as well.
